Happy 2009!!!!

Well in about 3 1/2 hours it will be 2009. YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!! We are partying hard here at the Cox house. Johnny is reading a fishing magazine, Bailey is spending the night with PawPaw, Callie is laying in her bed watching cartoons, and here I sit...entertaining the masses! If tonight is any indication of what the next year of our life will be, it should be very relaxing.

Well I never got around to posting any Christmas pictures so here they are. As I am sure you are all aware by now...Santa came to our house early this year. Daddy had to work on Christmas Day so Santa came Christmas Eve while we were having Christmas with Nana & PawPaw. We came home and Santa and his reindeer had left a mess on our front porch. The reindeer got hungry so Santa went into our kitchen and found carrots and apples. Then we never had time to bake our cookies for Santa so he ate the cookie dough. When we got home there was apple and carrot pieces all over the place, and inside Santa had left pieces of cookie dough. To top off the mess there was tinsel all over our yard from the sleigh.

The girls were very excited to find all of there new toys when they came home. They got a Barbie doll house, a kitchen, a v-smile motion game, and lots of other little things. Here are a few pictures from that night.

One last thing...Bailey went hunting today with her PawPaw - They went to Brandy's grandparents land in Sulligent, AL - She had a good time. They sat in a shooting house for 5 hours (did anybody ever thing she could stay in one place for 5hrs???? I sure didn't) From what PawPaw said she did a whole lot of eating while she was there. But - she looked really cute while she sat there I know. She looked like a true Country Girl!!! Truly a girl after her Daddy and PawPaw's heart.

Bath Time

Tonight during bath time the girls absolutely cracked me up. For some reason those little naked hiney's dancing around will crack you up every time. Callie decided that she was was a train and would walk back and forth in the tub doing some little crazy thing with her hands and saying "Chugga Choo Choo" where she got this from I have no idea. Bailey is dumping water on her head and singing the latest country song or classic rock song that she has heard with her Daddy.

We are finally getting ready for the big night tomorrow night. Santa is coming... Johnny has gone now to assemble all of toys...He is getting a late start seeing as he did not leave to go to his mom and dads until 8:20 tonight. I guess I will see him around midnight tonight. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that all of the parts are there since we have waited so late to even open the box.

Ok - I will post more hopefully sometime Thursday after Santa comes.

Merry Christmas Everybody!!!!!

Pictures

These pictures were taken last week at Tannehill State Park. We actually had all of the neices and nephews on Johnny's side together to make a picture for Nana for Christmas. I am really totally impressed that we were able to get this done. Eight children 5 and under...very cold...lots of open space...AMAZING!!!

WAL-MART

O.K. Confession Time...
I admit...I go to Walmart at least 3-4 times per week for various things. Let me say I KNOW that if I would make a list of the things I need for the week I would spend less money and go to the store less and that would solve most of the problem. But, to defend myself for this week - I have only been 3 times this week tonight being one of them AND I was thinking about what I needed for the Youngblood Christmas when I went yesterday. I knew I had to get shrimp and my freezer was too full to put anything else in it even for one night. SO...I went again tonight. I do believe that everybody in Sumiton and Dora was at Walmart tonight!!! Might I add one more thing...it does not help anything having your 2 adn 5 year old children with you! OK I'M DONE!!! I will stop griping about Walmart - I do love the store - I feel sort of empty at the end of the day if I don't go...like something is just missing. I guess it is a love/hate relationship.

SHE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Bailey finally got brave enough to get on stage at church and sing with her choir. This was two weeks ago on Sunday night we had the hanging of the green service and the preschool choir sang 3 songs . All of the girls dressed up as angles and the boys were shepherds or sheep. They did very good. We were very proud of her for actually singing and not crying. (She was also very proud of herself)

Blogger Virgin

Well today is my first time to ever post a blog. First of all I want you all to know I really dont know what I plan on telling you. I will start my saying that I have been very inspired to start this since I have been reading several other people's blog. So, I will give this a shot. Maybe I can get good enough to post pictures of the girls and keep everybody up to date on all of the "Happening" in the Cox household.

Today we received a letter from SANTA!!! Santa said that Bailey & Callie Rae are at the very top of the "Nice List" Who knew I had the best kids in the whole world!! And...we are lucky this year, Santa said that he was coming to our house 1st this year and that we should all go to be early!!! I am all for that!!!! (It will never happen) And...in case you didn't know Santa said that we have the best Christmas cookies of any house he goes to.

I really can't believe that Christmas is one week from Tomorrow. I am totally in the Christmas Spirit but it just seems really weird. Ready or not...Here it comes!!!
I hope you have enjoyed the photo of our PINK Christmas Tree. I have been given a lot of grief over my tree this year because apparently, you are supposed to have a large Green tree in the living room and if you have anything extra like a pink tree it should go in the girl's room. But, we love our pink tree even without any lights on it...for pete's sake it is a Pink Glitter Tree...I dont think it needs any lights!!! Thank you Gran for the tree...we all love it!!!
Lastly...Thank you to all who prayed for Johnny last week during his confined space class at the Fire College in Tuscaloosa. He made it through with flying colors. He got his test results yesterday and he made an 86 on his final. Good job Johnny!!! I am really proud of you!!!
